1. What Ubidecarenone Injection is and what it is used for.
Ubidecarenone (Coenzyme Q10) is a vitamin-like substance found throughout the body, but especially in the heart, liver, kidney, and pancreas.
Ubidecarenone Injection is a clear yellow liquid containing 5mg of ubidecarenone (Coenzyme Q10). It is used as an adjuvant drug in treatment of congestive heart failure, hypertension, coronary heart disease, arrythmia, primary and secondary aldosteronism, neck trauma sequela, cerebrovascular disorders, hemorrhagic shock and hepatitis, etc.
2. Before you use Ubidecarenone Injection.
Before taking Ubidecarenone Injection, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it; or if you have any other allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems. Talk to your pharmacist for more details. Ask your doctor or pharmacist about using this product safely. During pregnancy, this product should be used only when clearly needed. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. It is not known whether this product passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Before using this product, tell your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription and nonprescription medications you may use, especially of: drugs for high blood pressure, "blood thinners" (e.g., warfarin), drugs for diabetes, drugs for high cholesterol (e.g., atorvastatin, lovastatin). Tell your doctor or pharmacist of all the products you use. Keep a list of all your medications with you, and share the list with your doctor and pharmacist.
3. How to use Ubidecarenone Injection.
5 to 10 mg per day via intramascular injection or slow intravenous injection for 2 to 4 weeks as a course of treatment.
Intravenous injection should be slow to avoid dizziness, head bilges, chest tightness, and low blood pressure, etc.
4. Possible side effects.
Ubidecarenone Injection may cause side effects although not everybody gets them. Nausea, upset stomach, loss of appetite may infrequently occur, usually the treatment need not be discontinued for that. But if any of these effects persist or worsen, contact your doctor promptly. Occasionally, urticaria and transient palpitations may occur. Seek immediate medical attention if you notice any of the following symptoms of a serious allergic reaction: rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, trouble breathing.
5. Storing Ubidecarenone Injection.
Store below 20°C in outer carton to protect from heat, light and moisture.
Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
6. Shelf life.
24 months.
